Quilt Basting

This service is prefect for a hand quilter or machine quilter who doesn't want to baste their own quilt top. Your quilt will be basted using a 1/2" stitch length in an uneven grid approximately 3 to 4" apart. We have many customers who use this service it and absolutely love it!

Backing

There are many factors that come into play when quilting a quilt top successfully on a Longarm Machine. The quilt backing must be square. This is very important so that the backing can be loaded straight. The backing should also be at least 8" longer and wider than the quilt top. In cases where the backing isn't this much bigger we can add temporary Extentions to your quilt back. This will incur an additional cost of $20.

If at all possible it is also favourable to have a horizontal seam in the quilt backing rather than a vertical one. Sometimes you can't avoid a vertical seam so we can work around it.
